Monday Motivation - Beach Inspiration

Happy Monday from the beach! My family and I are on vacation in Florida, and while we're anxious for the end of Tropical Storm "Debby" to pass through, we're loving the slower pace and yummy seafood! Today's Monday Motivation comes from different sights around our beach condo... I apologize for not having a Beth Hart Designs "original print" for you today!

I am trying to soak up every minute of this vacation and appreciate all the blessings that come with it! The beauty of the beach alone is motivating us to get outside and love being in our Father's creation! And instead of sleeping-in a little later, I'd much rather get up and go for a walk, drink my morning coffee on the balcony, and breathe in the salty air.

So maybe you're on vacation or maybe you're starting another work week... whatever the case, we should all try to just love living life and enjoy the moments that come our way - both big and small. Have a great week!

What's Happening - Sweet Little Birthdays!

Happy Wednesday! I'm so excited to begin a new series of blog posts titled "What's Happening Wednesday!" It seems I need structure in the blogging world, so in addition to "Monday Motivation," I'm promising to post each Wednesday about the projects I have the pleasure of working on that week. This week (and all summer long) is full of children's birthday parties! I'm just loving all the creativity I see in the planning of little ones' birthday parties these days. The themes are all adorable, and I'm crazy about the matching "bells & whistles" that parents are using throughout the event!

Below, I've featured a few of the designs I've been working on this week. (The names, photos, and details have been changed to "protect the innocent!") Enjoy!

Monday Motivation - Wonderful & Glorious Things!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend and Father's Day! I'm excited about today's Motivation... it gets me itching with enthusiasm about the future!

Ever have that feeling that you're destined for great things? I know that we all hope that our hard work and efforts pay off in the end, but do you ever get excited about what's in store? I think the future is often scary... but mostly exciting! Just think of all that you're capable of when you believe in yourself and work hard to reach your goals. I definitely feel that the hardest part of reaching our potential can be the endurance - having the willpower to hang on and fight for what we're all trying to achieve. Although I can sometimes get disappointed with what seems like a slow-motion growth of my little business, I ultimately believe that great things will happen in due time. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day!

So, let's get this week started with the faith that Wonderful and Glorious things are waiting for us when we work hard, believe in ourselves, and keep our eyes on the prize! Be excited about the future!

And be sure to check back on Wednesday for a new feature on my blog called "What's Happening Wednesday"... I'll fill you in on just a few of the projects I have the pleasure of working on each week!

Monday Motivation - Standing in Our Own Sunshine

Good Morning! Well, it's definitely a Monday. I woke up to find cloudy skies with a high chance of rain in the forecast. I was also dreading the drive to drop off my car at the shop for some repairs - knowing I'd have to pray for it to get me there without a hitch! I thought about how little things like these can pile up to really bring someone down. But I also remembered that we have the option to see the glass as half full instead of half empty.

Some people only see the gloom and doom in life because they are too busy standing in their own sunshine. It's up to us to decide to create shadows or spread joy and light to others. Of course life will hand us lemons at times, but we have the option to either make lemonade or just be sour. I will try my best to make lemonade... it's much more enjoyable! And I'm happy to report that the sun is peeking through the clouds, and my car has been fixed for much less that I expected it to cost!

So let's enjoy the week, and do our best to not stand in our own sunshine!

Monday Motivation - Climb Every Mountain

Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start! My mom and I went to see The Sound of Music produced by Studio Tenn at The Franklin Theatre last Thursday night. It was wonderful! We were amazed at how the beautiful music filled the theatre... we truly enjoyed the performance!

I was inspired by all of the songs but especially Mother Abbess's piece "Climb Ev'ry Mountain." The message behind the song seems to be all about exploring life's adventures in order to find what you're most passionate about. There will be challenges along the way, but those tough times are all stepping stones that lead us towards our greater calling. I sometimes think we never truly reach our dreams because they continue to change and grow, but isn't the adventure what life is all about?

Every day is a blessing whether it's full of challenges or successes, and we should embrace each experience for the sheer fact that we are spending one more day chasing our dreams and reaching for our potential! Let's live life to the fullest and be thankful for all of our mountains, streams, and rainbows!
